Ten years of doing the work by hand.
I started in public accounting, in tax. Then six years at ClassPass, from Senior Accountant to Accounting Manager to Senior Manager of Financial Strategy, through a Series C, D, and E and the company's acquisition. I built and scaled the accounts payable function there: 60,000+ vendor payments a month across 25 countries.
Since 2022 I’ve been Controller at a venture-backed healthcare company, where I brought accounting in-house and took the company through its first financial statement audit and every year-end since.
I've built and run accounting functions at venture-backed companies. That range is the point: I know where the hours go, because I've spent them.
I've done this by hand. That's why I know what to automate.
I've spent a 10-day close doing every reconciliation myself. I know which steps are judgment calls and which are pattern-matching that a system should handle. So when I build something for your team, it's grounded in how the work really happens, not how a demo imagines it.
